(Supersedes 04-014, dated May 4, 2004)

SYMPTOM

The engine hesitates when accelerating from a stop.

PROBABLE CAUSE

Winter-grade fuel together with warmer ambient temperatures causes carbon to build up on the intake valves.

CORRECTIVE ACTION

Remove the carbon from the intake valves, and update the PCM with the interactive Network (iN) monthly CD, dated May 2004 or later.
