Don’t Use Leak Check Dye in These Vehicles!

Planning on using a leak check dye to help find a leak? Here’s the current list of vehicles that you shouldn’t use dye on.

At this time, we have not approved the use of leak check dye in these transmissions. If traces of dye are found in a failed transmission returned under warranty, your claim will be debited. For more information on which vehicles can used leak dye, see S/B 07-085, ATF Leak Detection.
