SYMPTOM

There is a rattle coming from the roof rack area.

POSSIBLE CAUSES

There is too much clearance in the roof rack cross bar.

CORRECTIVE ACTION

Apply anti-rattle tape to the right side of each roof rack cross bar.

REPAIR PROCEDURE

On the rear cross bar, remove the 2 torx bolts from the right cross bar end. Then, remove the cross bar end.

Reinstall the cross bar end and torque the new Torx bolts to 4-5 N·m (2.9-3.6 lb-ft).
