REPAIR PROCEDURE – CR-V
- Remove the tailgate lower trim.
- Remove the tailgate upper trim panel.
- Remove the tailgate side trim panels.
- Remove the tailgate pull pocket.
- Remove the tailgate lower trim panel.
- Remove the two nuts, then remove the tailgate outer handle switch
- Install the new switch.
- Install all parts in the reverse order of removal.
END
REPAIR PROCEDURE – ODYSSEY
- Remove the tailgate upper trim.
- Remove the left and right tailgate side trim.
- Remove the tailgate pull pocket.
- Pull out the tailgate lower trim panel by hand to detach the clips, then remove it.
- From inside the tailgate, remove the nuts, then remove the rear license trim.
- Disconnect the 2P connector from the tailgate outer handle switch.
- Remove the two nuts.
- If equipped, disconnect the rearview camera 6P connector.
- Remove the tailgate outer handle switch.
NOTE: The illustration shows with rearview camera.
- Install the new switch.
- Install all remaining parts in the reverse order of removal.
