MIL Comes On With DTC P0122

SYMPTOM
The MIL is on, and DTC P0122 (throttle position sensor circuit low voltage) is stored.
PROBABLE CAUSE
The throttle position sensor in certain throttle bodies becomes contaminated due to a manufacturing defect.
CORRECTIVE ACTION
Replace the throttle body.

REPAIR PROCEDURE
- Replace the throttle body:
- Refer to page 11-410 of the 2002–06 RSX Service Manual, or
- Online, enter keyword THROTTLE BODY, and select Throttle Body Removal/Installation from the list.
- Connect the HDS to the DLC (data link connector), and clear the DTC.
- Do the idle learn procedure:
- Refer to page 11-349 of the service manual, or
- Online, enter keyword IDLE LEARN, and select ECM/PCM Idle Learn procedure (M/T) or ECM/PCM Idle Learn procedure (A/T) from the list.
- QUALITY ASSURED
