Summary
Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) is recalling certain 2021 Accord Sedan, Accord Hybrid, CR-V, Ridgeline, 2022 Insight and CR-V Hybrid vehicles. The automatic locking retractor on the second-row center seat belt assembly may deactivate improperly, which can result in an unsecured child restraint system. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 208, “Occupant Crash Protection.”
Remedy
Dealers will replace the second-row center seat belt assembly, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed January 14, 2022. Owners may contact Honda customer service at 1-888-234-2138.
Notes
Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.nhtsa.gov.

Noncompliance description:
The automatic locking retractor (ALR) function on the second row center seat belt assembly may improperly deactivate. If the seat belt webbing is pulled out to the end and the ALR deactivates, the seat belt webbing can retract or extend freely, preventing proper child seat restraint with the seat belt. ALR deactivation does not comply with the requirements FMVSS 208, Occupant Crash Protection, increasing the risk of injury to the child seat occupant.
573.6(c)(7)
Determination of noncompliance:
September 2021
Routine factory quality inspections of new vehicles identified movement in the second row center seat belt after the seat belt webbing was pulled out to the end. The seat belt supplier was informed of this discovery and the supplier identified specific seat belt production lots where the material used by the Tier-2 supplier of the ALR lever was contaminated, which reduced the ALR lever holding force and resulted in improper ALR deactivation.
October 2021
The seat belt supplier confirmed the cause of the ALR lever contamination at a Tier-2 supplier.
November 11, 2021
Honda determined that a FMVSS noncompliance existed and decided to conduct a noncompliance recall.
573.6(c)(8)(i)
Program for remedying the noncompliance:
Registered owners of all affected vehicles will be contacted by mail and asked to take their vehicle to an authorized Honda dealer. The dealer will replace the second row center seat belt assembly with a new assembly for free.
Owners who have paid to have these repairs completed at their own expense will be eligible for reimbursement, in accord with the recall reimbursement plan on file with NHTSA.
573.6(c)(8)(ii)

- ✔️【Professional SRS Reset for 1994-2003 BMW】 Designed specifically for classic BMW models (1994-2003). This B800 scanner reads & clears SRS airbag fault codes, turns off the warning light, and saves you a costly dealer visit. Confirmed compatible with: E36, E46 (EXCEPT 2001 330i), E34, E38, E39, Z3, and X5 (E53). NOT compatible with any BMW built before 1994 or after 2003.
- ✔️【Important: Two Different Connection Ports – Read Before Use】 To avoid “not working” issues, please note: For 1994–2000 BMWs (most E36, E34, Z3, early E39), the SRS diagnostic port is a round 20-pin connector under the hood. You MUST use the included 16-pin to 20-pin adapter cable. For 2000–2003 models (late E46, E39, X5), use the standard OBD-II port inside the cabin. Incorrect connection is the #1 reason for “incompatibility” reports.

The automatic locking retractor (ALR) may deactivate and fail to lock, preventing proper child seat restraint with the seat belt, increasing the risk of injury to the child seat occupant.Refer to your eResponsibility report or perform an iN VIN status inquiry to determine which units in your inventory are affected. Failure to repair a vehicle as necessary prior to sale may subject your dealership to claims or lawsuits.
